XperienceED (XED)
Registering a NEW user account
The steps below pertain to manually creating a new user account in XED. It is possible that your user account was “imported” by someone with an Administrator or Instructor role. In this case, you will be given login credentials, and upon initially logging in you will be prompted to select three security questions and enter related answers – in case a password reset is needed – and to accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA). To begin, follow the steps as instructed below.
Step 1: From a Web browser, navigate to https://xperienceed.azurewebsites.net/ .
Step 2: Either select the Register hyperlink or click one of the single sign-on buttons to use profile details from an existing personal account – i.e. Facebook, Microsoft Office (School or Work), Microsoft Personal, or Google/Gmail. For purposes of this article, click Register.
Step 3: This page illustrates the pathway to creating a user account. To begin, enter or paste the activation code (aka Group Key) in the Enter your activation code: field. This code must match letter case and include each hyphen separator character in its proper location. Example: G1234-ABcd-0123. Click the Verify Code button when done.
Step 4: Based on the code entered, the user “role” identifier will appear as the section label (i.e. Administrator, Instructor, Learner). Next, below “What is your age?”, select either UNDER 13 or 13 AND OLDER. The first option will allow younger age users to login with a Username, as opposed to an email. The second option allows logging in using an email or selecting one of the single sign-on options. For purposes of this article, select 13 and OLDER.
Step 5: Depending on your selected option in Step 4, now select one of the two button options depicted below. In this case, SIGN UP WITH EMAIL.
Step 6: This page provides the basic user profile demographic data, which can be edited after account creation if needed. Complete ALL fields with your preferred content then click NEXT STEP to continue. Note: Language preference selection is demographic data only, and therefore does not determine learning content language translation. Also, the State/Province/Region data is dependent on the Country/Region selection. Also, once the account is final, the avatar can be customized with an uploaded picture.
Step 7: This page has three sections – Security (3 questions and related answers), Password, and selections for user agreement (first check box is mandatory) and preference options (second 2 boxes, optional).

Step 8: This page displays the End-user license agreement (EULA). Read, or at a minimum, scroll through the legal content to the bottom. The check box, labeled “I agree to…”, is not available, but is disabled, until the content is read, scrolled through. To proceed, click the check box option then click the REGISTER button. Note: upon clicking Register, your user account will be created!
Step 9: SUCCESS!!! Congratulations, you now have an XED user account. Click the LOGIN button to login and access your primary user profile Dashboard page.
Special note – after logging in, your user avatar will appear in the top right corner of the page, along with your default or selected user role and first/last name as entered during this process. To the right of this is a drop-down icon. Click this icon then select MY ACCOUNT to edit any of these details, and/or now upload a more personalized avatar – i.e. a headshot photo or favorite picture – using the “Drag & Drop your custom profile picture” button.
Great job! You are now ready to begin using XperienceED and, if applicable, proceed in learning from our course content toward industry certification or a credential.
